During this private tasting, we’ll guide you through the secrets of Belgian chocolate: why it’s world-renowned, who the master chocolatiers are, and how it’s made. You’ll sample a variety of chocolates and cacao products, uncovering the incredible diversity of Belgian artisanal creations. By the end, you’ll be well on your way to becoming a true chocolate connoisseur!

This experience offers a mix of carefully selected chocolate themes, such as the chocolate-making process, food pairing, sustainability, history, or trends. We’ll also do our best to weave your personal interests and questions into the tasting, creating a truly engaging and interactive experience. Here are examples of tailored themes we’ve incorporated for previous guests:

    • Chocolate and beverage pairings, like beer or wine
    • Learning how to distinguish quality chocolate by recognizing its aromas, flavor profiles, and textures.
    • Comparing chocolate to specialty coffee
    • Exploring cacao origins and terroir with chocolate from around the world
    • Crafting your own chocolate bar from cacao beans

Please note: This is an interactive chocolate experience centered on tasting, appreciating, and learning about chocolate and cacao. It is not a factory tour or a chocolate-making workshop involving tempering, melting, or crafting truffles and bonbons.

What's included?

FAQ

Our tasting room accommodates up to 8 participants at a time, ensuring a personal and intimate experience for everyone.

Before the tasting, we will send you an email with a few questions to tailor the experience as much as possible to your interests. We love to think outside the chocolate box, so if you have any specific chocolate dreams, please send us an email at chocoladeambassade@gmail.com, and we’ll see how we can make them come true.

Children are very welcome to join! However, due to the informative nature and duration of the experience (approximately 2 hours), we recommend it for older children who can fully engage with and appreciate the activity. For younger children, our chocolate tasting without reservation might be a better fit, as it involves less explanation, a menu to choose from, and typically lasts between 15-30 minutes.

Our tasting room and shop are located in a historical building, which features a small step at the entrance. While this may pose a minor challenge, it is possible to enter with a wheelchair with a little help. We are always happy to assist in making your visit as comfortable as possible.

Absolutely! If you wish to purchase any of the chocolates you’ve tasted, you are welcome to do so—but there’s no obligation. If you’d like, we’re happy to offer personalized recommendations based on your tasting preferences or assist in finding the perfect gift.

Please don’t hesitate to send us an email at chocoladeambassade@gmail.com. We’ll do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible!
